What is Addictive Media ?

I started out writing rhymes me and some friends years ago. I remember going to the studio and writing song after song, and we would get the Cd's pressed up and go out and sell them. I'm talking back around 2002 and remember this was before buck signed the deal with 50 cent so resources around here in the city was really limited. The radio station they like to send a player through the ringer and the YouTube market was not as accessible as it is today or should i say everybody didn't have a digital camera so the only people heard your music was the people from your own hood. If u had a buzz then once u was known all around the city after that it pretty much was a wrap u could just keep doing your thing in the hood and be hood rich, but just to be real i believe a lot of rappers or young guys who inspire to be a rap artist probably felt just as i did and would hope one day to benefit from their craft with that being sad all these years later I been sitting back just waiting on the opportunity to get back in the loop because when somethings in your heart u never give up on it completely so here i am just like a well seasoned rapper working on a debut album i had to reinvent myself find what it is that i can do to contribute to the game not to say that i lost it, I feel like i can make a hit record at anytime but like i said i feel the need to donate my time and talent to the media side of things because just like i stated earlier that once the music is made and the money has been spent then like the big record labels like to say its time to recoup that cash and what that means is its time to promote, that means u need to hit the streets and tell any and everybody about your music, Here in a city like Nashville this is suppose to be the music city, it has some of the greatest studios, real record labels, publishing companies, distribution companies i mean the whole nine yards, but the thing is its all catered to a different genre of music.  Their doors may not say come on in its just some of the labels and execs don't understand the game of hip hop and how to handle a hip hop/rap artist which in most cases now a artist only need the record label to do what he or she cant do which is not much now days everything from promoting to booking shows, videos studio time etc.all can be done by the artist, the problem is access. the type of access I'm referring to is the media in a city like New York or LA when a artist starts to build a buzz its news outlets that are available to spread the news. I mention this because i been in Nashville my whole life and it is major talent around here in this city its hard to break a record in this city on a mainstream level its independent radio stations that play other genres of music its night clubs that have open mic night for local bands, but its hard to find a local rapper performing on a regular now we no most events where hip hop artists draw a crowd we all fear the possibility of something tragic happening, now that's a conversation for another day, all I'm trying to say is that we are going to have to create our own Music city row where a rap artist can come play some records, do some interviews, and get some reaction from the public so that's why i have created this small media group that's looking to shed some light on the other music that's being made in the city. I never been to New York personally but i wonder is it just as hard for a country artist to build a buzz up there like it is for a rapper in Nashville now that might not be a fair comparison being that i never been to New York its just a thought. i plan to take my talents and contribute my skills to help get some of these artist discovered so if u no any young talent that's looking to get noticed tel the get at me Mario Darvin ( Doe @ addictivemedia615@gmail.com  But remember I'm only looking for the hottest of the hot Im just Addicted 2 the moment !!!!!!http://www.youtube.com/user/addictivemediagroup/videos?view=0&flow=grid
